Ion Engine Mount

The 702MP deployable ion engine mount includes three pieces that are 3D printed and work as an integrated assembly – and Upper Y, lower Y (miniature version of the upper Y) and the center unit that houses the pyrotechnic release devices. During launch, the engine mounts are in a stowed configuration. After a pyrotechnic separation event occurs, the engine mounts are released and deployed in an orbit position.
