Gas turbine repair

Gas turbines operate under extreme conditions, with high temperatures and gas velocities that can cause burn-off at the blade tip. This can result in the formation of gaps and a significant reduction in the turbine’s overall performance. By using Laser Powder Bed Fusion (L-PBF) metal printing on existing components, it is possible to produce high-resolution structures with inner channels, thus offering a solution to this problem.
