Expander Jaw

This expander jaw, along with eleven others, keeps a combustion chamber in shape while a welding repair is being performed. The expander jaws inserted in the inner contour of the combustion chamber are pushed outward by a punch to prevent the component from warping during welding. Internal gas channels, which could not have been produced without additive manufacturing, conduct inert gas to the areas that cannot be accessed from the outside.
