Martin Back brings over 27 years of industrial leadership experience in CEO, CFO, and operational roles across sectors including Automotive, MedTech, and AM. A specialist in transformational change and scaling, he excels at bridging the “sweet spots” of large global corporations and agile startups to drive organizational excellence. After successfully leading the strategic growth of Forward AM and it’s carve-out from BASF and subsequent transition to Stratasys, Martin continues to champion AM as a critical enabler for agility in a volatile manufacturing landscape. In 2023, he co-founded the AM I Navigator initiative, establishing a holistic maturity model to help industrial customers achieve faster ROI and sustainable growth through systematic, standardized AM adoption.

Arno Held

Arno Held
Arno Held started AM Ventures together with Johann Oberhofer in 2015 when they realized an increasing demand for venture capital in Additive Manufacturing but a lack of competent investors to assess disruptive technologies. Today, Arno is Managing Partner of the fund and specialises on the network around AM Ventures, as well as its global footprint and organisational growth. Since co-founding the company, Arno has been instrumental in building the AM Ventures team that has scouted several thousand startups and conducted more than thirty funding rounds all over the world. Arno’s passion for industrial machinery and applications was triggered in 1998 when he started his professional life building and repairing Laser machines with TRUMPF. Before starting AM Ventures, Arno spent seven years with EOS in various positions around corporate strategy and business development. Arno holds a diploma degree in Industrial Engineering and Management from the University of Applied Sciences Karlsruhe (Germany) as well as an international executive MBA from the University of St. Gallen (Switzerland). He completed his studies abroad in Shanghai, China and Cape Town, South Africa.

Michael Kenworthy
Michael Kenworthy is the Chief Product Officer at Seurat Technologies, building the next generation of 3D metal printers designed for high-volume, decarbonized industrial production. Michael previously served as the Chief Technology Officer at Divergent Technologies where he co-developed the Divergent Adaptive Production System. He was the first Chief Engineer of AM at Honeywell Aerospace and held various technology leadership roles at GE Aviation. Michael earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering from MIT and later earned his Master of Engineering from Univ. of Wisconsin – Madison. He is one of the authors of Additive Manufacturing Change Management: Best Practices. He is a prolific inventor and innovator with 250+ patents for product and process technologies granted or pending.

Yathiraj Kasal heads Wipro Infrastructure Engineering’s Additive Manufacturing (3D) business. He is responsible for providing overall Business and Technical leadership for Wipro 3D. A Mechanical Engineer by education, Yathiraj has more than 27 years of industry experience in Aerospace, Automotive and Additive Manufacturing domain. Yathiraj has deep technical expertise across the entire Additive Manufacturing value chain – from conceptualization to certification, or prototype to production. In the last 12 years, he has been a key contributor in the adoption of AM in India & Asia Pacific. He has 6 patents and 3 trade secrets to his credit. Prior to Wipro 3D, Yathiraj has worked in GE, Honeywell, Infosys & TurboTech.

Troy Jensen

As a Managing Director at Cantor Fitzgerald, Troy Jensen analyzes high-growth technology sectors. He began his career in finance in 1997, following six years of service in the U.S. Navy. Since then, he has monitored developments in the Additive Manufacturing, Photonics, and Quantum Computing industries. While covering various technology applications, his focus remains on industrial 3D printing and hardware innovation. He is a CFA charterholder and a University of Minnesota alumnus.

Nesma Aboulkhair

Nesma is the Director of Additive Manufacturing at the Technology Innovation Institute (UAE) and a visiting academic at the University of Nottingham (UK). Her expertise is in Materials & Manufacturing; with active projects spanning across several metal additive manufacturing processes. She specialises on developing new materials, materials processing, manufacturing, and characterisation for metallurgy and mechanical properties. She has an excellent track record of scientific publications, funding, and invited and keynote talks. At TII, she set up a state-of-the-art AM laboratory with facilities for manufacturing, post-processing, and characterisation. She works closely with the UAE’s local industries, providing them with support and business solutions for advanced manufacturing needs.

Yihan Zhong is the Founder of AM-E-Dao, a China’s additive manufacturing professional media, testing and service platform . Before founding AM-E-DAO, he was the Head of the China Guangdong Province 3D Printing Tech & Innovation Center. He leads strategic operations within China’s additive manufacturing sector, drawing on a decade of leadership including roles as General Manager of Shenzhen Wutong Med Tech and Chief of Staff at Bolijiang 3D. Yihan began his AM career as a research assistant to Professor Richard D’Aveni at Dartmouth College in the US, focusing on the industrial revolution of 3D printing. Today, he focuses on bridging the gap between China’s AM industry and the global community by sharing insights on local innovations and fostering cross-border collaboration.

Hao Bai is the founder of Concord Capital, a leading capital firm specializing in intelligent additive manufacturing. Under his leadership, Concord Capital established China’s first series of funds dedicated to this innovative field and manages dual-currency VC funds in both CNY and USD. Bai has played a pivotal role in founding companies listed on the New York Stock Exchange and the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. As a fund manager with extensive entrepreneurial experience, he excels in fostering industrial and corporate development. With over 25 years of experience in financial sector resources and industrial capital operations, Mr. Bai has previously served as Senior Strategic Manager at Ping An Securities, and Executive Vice President at Gopher Asset Management. Bai holds an EMBA from China Europe International Business School (CEIBS).
